UNC guard Caleb Love opened the game by draining a three-pointer to get the Tar Heels on the board against UCLA. After that, he struggled in the first half finishing with just 3 points in the first 20 minutes.
For whatever reason, Love decided that the shoes he was wearing at halftime weren’t right. So he switched them. And UNC fans are certainly glad that he did.
Love finished the game with 30 points, including 27 in the second half to help UNC beat UCLA 73-66 and punch their ticket to the Elite 8. The guard started the game wearing “Space Jam” Air Jordan 11’s and switched at halftime to the “Pantone” Air Jordan 11’s, a blue colorway.
And it worked.
Caleb Love changed shoes at halftime after starting 1 of 8. Space Jams to Pantones 11.

Love absolutely carried the Tar Heels in the second half, hitting big shot after big shot including a three-pointer with 1:04 left in the game to give the Tar Heels a three-point lead. He also drained two free throws to ice it, sending the Tar Heels to that Elite 8.
Like Mars Blackmon aka Spike Lee once said “Money, it’s gotta be the shoes!”
