Cincinnati Bengals wideout Tee Higgins is finally on the field and putting some work in with Joe Burrow and Co. after overcoming a minor hamstring issue.
And he’s putting on a show.
It was easy to think Higgins would have a hard time breaking on to the field much as a rookie with A.J. Green, John Ross and Tyler Boyd in front of him in the pecking order — never mind guys like Auden Tate and Alex Erickson.
But now that he’s healthy, it’s pretty clear the first pick of the second round and a guy the Bengals seemed to like as a first-round product might be hard to keep off the field.
As Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic noted, Higgins reeled into multiple play-of-the-day grabs:
Tee Higgins with his first “wow” moment with #Bengals. Had a leaping, one-handed, tipped-to-himself catch deep down the sideline just now. Probably best catch by anyone all camp.
(Also had a diving catch down the sideline in 1-on-1 earlier)

So much for Higgins needing any serious amount of time to develop a bond with Burrow after missing some practices. The fact Burrow’s already hitting him on deep outs provides some quality insurance if Green again has to miss time this year, to say the least.
Over the weekend, Higgins had returned to practices and noted right away that Burrow’s throw power caught him off guard.
It sure looks like he’s used to it now.
