It happened. It finally happened. Matthew Stafford scrambled for the first time this season on Sunday against the Eagles.
It took 11 games, but Stafford saw an opening and took advantage of it, scrambling for 15 yards and a first down. Coming into the game, Stafford had 12 rushes for minus-7 yards, mostly being kneel-downs.
With his 15-yard run against Philadelphia, Stafford now has 5 rushing yards on the year. It’s also his longest run since 2020 when he had a 17-yard rush as a member of the Lions.
It’s not that he’s terribly slow, he just doesn’t look to run very often.
Wheels! Stafford’s still got it 👏
