Isaiah Wynn abruptly ended interview when asked about trade talks

Isaiah Wynn appears to be getting annoyed with the trade rumor talk

Isaiah Wynn might be the most likely player to be traded on the New England Patriots roster. He’s playing on an expiring deal and nearly halfway into the most disappointing season of his young NFL career.

The writing is already on the wall.

So it’s no surprise that he’s going to get questions regarding the circulating trade rumors involving his name. ESPN’s Mike Reiss noted one such situation in his notes on Sunday. When speaking with reporters on Thursday, the former first-round draft pick abruptly ended an interview when the topic of trade rumors was broached.

“I’m playing and doing what I have to do,” said Wynn.

When pressed a bit harder and asked if he wanted to be a Patriot, Wynn said, “I’m here, right?”

Reiss wrote:

“Then he walked away, ending the interview abruptly while suggesting the questions were an attempt to ‘indict’ him.”

It’s worth noting that wideout Nelson Agholor, who is also a trade candidate, was asked similar questions and handled everything in stride.

But then again, he’s a veteran player that has competed for multiple teams in the past. This isn’t his first rodeo, and he isn’t losing sleep worrying about the future.

Like Wynn, his future may or may not be in New England before Tuesday’s deadline. This Patriots team could soon look very different.
