WWE famously runs events all year long, with Raw and SmackDown airing episodes every week without fail. But depending on how the holidays fall, even the WWE superstars and production staff get some time off, and that is indeed the case this year.
WWE didn’t make a big deal out of it until it absolutely needed to, but with Christmas Day falling on a Monday this year, Triple H and company gave everyone a well deserved week off. That means WWE Raw is not new tonight, and you won’t miss anything if you decide not to tune in.
Instead, USA will air a “best of” show that recaps some of the top moments on Monday nights from throughout the year. This isn’t the only recap show on tap for this week either, as SmackDown this Friday will follow the same format.
This won’t be the case next week, though. Despite the next Raw falling on New Year’s Day, it will be a live show on Jan. 1 with a Day One theme, and will include some pretty big matches.
For tonight, you can feel free to take the week off if you have Christmas plans, secure in the knowledge that nothing is happening and you’ll be up to speed on Raw going into 2024. From all of us here at Wrestling Junkie, have a fantastic holiday season.
