The Vikings boldly decided to draft a kicker in April’s NFL Draft. They selected Will Reichard out of Alabama, and since then, they have not been happier with the decision. Reichard was perfect to start his career until November 3, when he missed his first two kicks.
The reason for the misses became clear immediately, as it was revealed that Reichard had suffered an injury to his quad. He would be placed on injured reserve, and the team would sign John Parker Romo. Fast-forward a little over a month, and Will Reichard is ready to return.
Will Reichard injury update
On Saturday, the Minnesota Vikings activated kicker Will Recihard off injured reserve and released John Parker Romo, which suggests that the Vikings’ draft pick will be ready for Sunday against the Falcons.
Before his injury, Reichard made the first 14 field goals of his career. He will look to start a new streak in Week 14.
