The Bucs’ starting tackle, with his knee injury, was on the team’s final injury report on Friday. The injury kept him out of last week’s win against the New York Giants, but his status for Week 13 against the Panthers remained unsure.
Tristan Wirfs injury update
Tristan Wirfs was not listed among the inactive players on the team’s official report before kickoff, indicating that Wirfs would be starting for the team. His return means Justin Skule goes back to being a backup offensive lineman for the team.
Baker Mayfield and the entire Bucs offense will be happy to see him return to the lineup. With the return of Wirfs this week and Mike Evans last week, the team will only be down one major offensive weapon: Chris Godwin.
Liam Coen will be able to be more aggressive with his playcalling as a result.
