When the season started, Zach Banner was supposed to be the Pittsburgh Steelers starting right tackle. Unfortunately, the knee injury that cost Banner almost all of the 2020 season wasn’t quite healed and so Banner had to start the season on IR.

But Banner is back, healthy and practicing with the team now. So what is the holdup on getting Banner on the field? Currently, Pittsburgh has rookie Dan Moore Jr. starting at left tackle and Chuks Okorafor at right tackle. Both guys have had their moments this season but it’s hard to say either guy is irreplaceable at this point.

So what do the Steelers do with Banner? This could be the week Banner is finally active against the Chicago Bears and works in as the team’s sixth offensive lineman and add some real punch to the rushing attack. Or he could just continue to be inactive and we are all left to wonder why.
