Is this the perfect 2020 NFL draft scenario for the Steelers?

This mock draft fills a ton of needs for the Steelers.

Depending on what you consider the top NFL draft need for the Pittsburgh Steelers, how you want the draft to go can vary greatly. We decided to jump on the Draft Network mock draft simulator and ended up with quite a haul. But is this the perfect scenario for the Steelers?

Here’s how the simulation went.

Second round-WR Jalen Reagor, TCU

Third round-TE Taddius Moss, LSU

Fourth round-EDGE Jabari Zuniga, Florida

Fourth round-DT Leki Fotu, Utah

Sixth round-OT Calvin Throckmorton, Oregon

Seventh round-RB Michael Warren II, Cincinnati

No mock draft is perfect but let’s look at how this one hits and misses.

Getting Reagor might not be viewed as a position of need but for a team in dire need of offensive firepower, a burner like Reagor is too good to pass up. Along those lines, getting Moss in the third give the Steelers another elite offensive weapon makes sense.

Jumping to defense, Zuniga is a raw but athletic pass rusher who won’t need to start right away. And getting Fotu in the fourth round is an absolute steal. He’s a massive mover on the defensive interior to replace Javon Hargrave.

Where does this mock draft miss the mark? It depends on who you ask but not drafting a cornerback could be viewed as a miss. As would be waiting until the sixth round to add help along the offensive line. Additionally, not drafting a quarterback will rub some fans the wrong way.

I can’t imagine even the most jaded Steelers fan having an issue if the draft played out but let us know what you think.
