Is superstar Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum in the NBA MVP conversation?

He might have to catch up to a few hot starts for the scoring title, but it is getting hard not to consider the Duke alum an MVP frontrunner

Boston Celtics superstar forward Jayson Tatum has started the season with a head of steam we have grown accustomed to seeing him usually work up to over the course of 82 games. The performance begs the question just how much better the St. Louis native will be by the end of the season.

Finding ways to score and impact the game on even bad shooting nights, Taco Jay’s passing, rebounding and ability to get to the line are lining up with Tatum’s increased attention to the defensive end of the court.

He might have a ways to go to catch up to a few hot starts around the league regarding the 2022-23 scoring title, but it is getting increasingly hard not to consider the former Duke star a front-runner for the 2023 Kia Most Valuable Player award.

The semi-eponymous hosts of the “Jalen and Jacoby” show, Jalen Rose and David Jacoby, recently debated Tatum’s MVP case on a recent episode.

Watch the clip embedded above to hear their thoughts on where he stands.
