Notre Dame offensive lineman [autotag]Rocco Spindler[/autotag] might return from a right ankle injury in time for the No. 2 Fighting Irish to take on the No. 3 Georgia Bulldogs in the Allstate Sugar Bowl on Wednesday night.
Notre Dame head coach [autotag]Marcus Freeman[/autotag] had initially said Spindler wouldn’t be ready for the College Football Playoff quarterfinal matchup after Spindler suffered the injury during Notre Dame’s 27-17 win over the No. 9 Indiana Hoosiers in the first round of the playoffs.
However, Spindler was seen returning to practice, which is a sign that he could be available.

Rocco Spindler has a right ankle injury but he has returned to practice.
“We’ll see how he progresses over the next couple of days,” Freeman said about Spindler, who is questionable.

It’s unclear if Spindler will play against Georgia. He is questionable.
