Is Marcus Smart the best option at the point if the Boston Celtics stay 3-point focused?

These esteemed analysts think ther emight be a case to do so.

Jeff Goodman didn’t mince words on a recent episode of the CLNS Media podcast “Bob Ryan and Jeff Goodman with Gary Tanguay”

“If you are going to play this way, I do feel like this is the time to part ways with Marcus Smart,” Goodman said. “I think I’m there; I think I’m there.”

Ryan agreed with his colleague on the potential to trade the veteran Boston Celtics floor general, saying he has “reluctantly come to the conclusion that maybe we have to (trade him). He’s 29, (and) he is not going to change. … I don’t know what other people think of him. I have no idea what his market value is.”

The trio discusses what the Celtics can do to better equip their team to get over the championship hump as part of the Smart discussion as well.

With the team leaning so heavily into shooting 3-pointers, is it time to move on from Marcus Smart? Take a look at the clip embedded below to hear what they have to say.
