One of the best parts of college football is the unique stadiums and the wild atmospheres for every home game. This is particularly true in the SEC, which is full of passionate fan bases who have a healthy dislike for their rivals.
While LSU’s Tiger Stadium or Georgia’s Sanford Stadium are known as tough places to play, there are plenty of other tough places to play. Riley Gates of 247Sports listed the eight most underrated environments in college football and included Jordan-Hare Stadium.
It might sound weird to have such a big SEC team on the “underrated” list, but it doesn’t seem to get the love that the likes of Alabama, LSU and others get. With almost 90,000 fans in the stadium, the noise is easy to come by at home games. There is no week off in the SEC and Jordan-Hare is a big reason for that being the case when Auburn plays at home.
Auburn fans always come out for big home games and the stadium is always rocking for those games. Some of the best plays in college football have happened at Jordan-Hare Stadium in the “Prayer at Jordan-Hare” and the “Kick Six.”
The Auburn faithful will have a chance to show their impact on Sep. 3 when Mercer comes to Auburn to start the season.
