Is Jaylen Waddle playing today? Injury updates for Dolphins WR

Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle is dealing with a knee injury. Here are the latest updates.

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle is questionable for Week 18 due to a knee injury he suffered three weeks ago in a Week 15 loss to the Houston Texans. The injury kept Waddle, who previously hadn’t missed a game in 2024, out of action the last two weeks.

After two limited practices earlier in the week, Waddle participated fully Friday, which bodes well for his chances to play Sunday against the New York Jets.

“I would say I’m feeling optimistic, in a positive fashion,” Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel said of Waddle on Friday. “So we’ll see what today uncovers but I’m feeling good barring no setbacks.”

Last week, both McDaniel and Waddle were on the fence about his chances of playing against the Cleveland Browns. With another week’s worth of recovery, a Waddle return appears more likely than not.

The Dolphins’ other starting wide receiver, Tyreek Hill, is also questionable due to a wrist injury that he’s been dealing with since August. Behind that duo is rookie Malik Washington, veteran River Cracraft, return specialist Dee Eskridge, and Erik Ezukanma, who was signed from the team’s practice squad last week.
