Is it time for a coaching change for the San Antonio Spurs? As sacrilegious as that sentence may sound at first blush, there is indeed a case to be made for current San Antonio head coach Gregg Popovich to step down and hand the reins to a new generation as a new Spurs dynasty begins to rise with French rookie wunderkind Victor Wembanyama.
The Hall of Fame head coach is by no means starting to slip in terms of what he is doing on the court with the players that he has to work with, but not everyone is convinced that this by itself is enough to delay the inevitable changing of the guard. Has coach Pop earned the right to walk off the set when he feels the time is right?
