The San Francisco 49ers have been decimated by injuries all year, specifically at the running back position. Christian McCaffrey and Jordan Mason are both on injured reserve, leaving rookie Isaac Guerendo as the top back.
Guerendo injured his foot in Week 14 against the Chicago Bears and was replaced by Patrick Taylor, leaving his status for Thursday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams up in the air.
Despite the short week, Guerendo is in good shape to play against the 49ers’ rival at home tonight.
Isaac Guerendo injury update
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Guerendo plans to play against the Rams. He’s officially listed as questionable, but he’s expected to give it a go at Levi’s Stadium.
