Is Chase Young to Redskins a lock?

Is the No. 2 pick as obvious as the first?

Chase Young to the Washington Redskins is one of the most common ideas about the 2020 NFL draft.

But with the combine still upcoming, nothing has been confirmed and probably won’t be right up until the Redskins’ turn on the clock.

But according to Pro Football Network’s Tony Pauline, Redskins brass seemingly have one intention at No. 2:

1) Not only does Ron Rivera love Chase Young, but owner Daniel Snyder wants Young to wind up DC. It seems unanimous the owner and the coach are on the same page on drafting Young at this point.

That’s got to be reassuring for Redskins fans to hear at this stage of the process. There’s plenty of time for things to change given the upcoming combine and pro days.

But right now? The idea of Ron Rivera being all-in on pairing Young with Ryan Kerrigan and Montez Sweat is something to get excited about.

While the Redskins will surely do due diligence and listen to trade offers and the like, Sweat in DC sure seems likely.
