Is Boston Celtics star forward Jayson Tatum a modern version of Tom Chambers?

One Hall of Fame point guard thinks so.

Older fans of the Boston Celtics may remember longtime star of the Seattle SuperSonics and Phoenix Suns power forward Tom Chambers. He was a four-time All-Star and one of only three players to score more than 20,000 career points and not make the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame (the others being Antawn Jamison and Joe Johnson).

So, those among you reading this in that category may be surprised (or perhaps not at all so) by Detroit Pistons point guard Isiah Thomas sharing his thoughts on how Celtics star forward Jayson Tatum‘s game shares a strong resemblance to Chambers on a basketball court.

Whether you are old enough to have your own opinion or need some convincing, check out Thomas’ case in the clip embedded below.
