In a surprising move, former Pittsburgh Steelers took his apology tour to Pittsburgh and did an interview on The Fan Morning Show on 93.7 in Pittsburgh on Thursday morning.
The interview didn’t last long but there is a ton to unpack from what the former Steelers star said. You can listen to the whole interview below but we are going to start the end and work backward.
As Brown was ending his interview, he shared what could easily be construed as Brown’s interest in returning to the Steelers. Read this quote and judge for yourself.
You learn the true character of a man when he goes through adversity so I’m excited to show people who I am & what I’m made of. Thank you guys for having me. I miss the Burgh man, hopefully I can come back and get it going.
When he says come back and get it going, it might just mean to the NFL. But in context, it really feels like he’s referring to Pittsburgh. Why else do you mention it at this point in the interview?
Or perhaps Brown is already setting himself up for his return to the good graces of the team and the city for his post-football career. Many former Steelers return to the city after their retirement to maintain their celebrity status with the fans.
Keep it here for written quotes from our interview with @AB84. You can listen to the entire interview again here! https://t.co/YYHycEyG5k
