Few things are associated with the word “Irish” more than the color green. Over the past few years, Notre Dame has made an effort to capitalize on that. Now, the #IrishWearGreen game will return when the Irish host Purdue on Sept. 18:
ALL.
𝐆𝐑𝐄𝐄𝐍.
EVERYTHING.
Three Saturdays until we're bringing back @NDFootball's #IrishWearGreen.

#IrishWearGreen appears to have become a good-luck charm for the Irish. It took place despite a limited number of fans allowed inside 2020’s upset win of top-ranked Clemson. It also was held during their 2019 win over USC and their 2018 season-opening victory over Michigan. While Purdue is not quite on the same scale as the other three opponents this game was held against, the in-state rivalry for this game appears to be enough to merit it.
Green shirts for this game can be purchased here. Few things can intimidate an opponent more than a full house of raucous fans united behind wearing the same color. Time to focus on providing a tough crowd for the Boilermakers to weather.
