Iowa’s Lisa Bluder offers opening South Carolina thoughts in Dallas

The Hawkeyes have arrived in Dallas. Lisa Bluder previewed the Final Four matchup with the South Carolina Gamecocks.

Another sensational performance from Caitlin Clark and the Hawkeyes has Iowa (30-6, 15-3 Big Ten) officially in the Final Four of the 2023 NCAA Tournament in Dallas.

Clark poured in 41 points, including 8-of-14 3-pointers to register the tournament’s first-ever 40-point triple-double. The 6-foot guard from West Des Moines dished out 12 assists and grabbed 10 rebounds to power Iowa past Louisville, 97-83, and into the program’s second all-time Final Four berth.

McKenna Warnock and Gabbie Marshall were both fabulous as well, scoring 17 and 14 points, respectively. That duo knocked down six 3-pointers combined to help the Hawks fly past the Cards.

Now, Iowa gets its chance against the undefeated, defending national champion South Carolina Gamecocks (36-0, 16-0 SEC).

The Hawkeyes touched down in Dallas last night and Iowa head women’s basketball coach Lisa Bluder shared her first comments on the matchup with South Carolina in a media session today.
