Iowa State vs Oregon: PlayStation Fiesta Prediction, Game Preview

Iowa State vs Oregon: PlayStation Fiesta Bowl prediction and game preview.

What’s Going To Happen

It’s going to be great.

Iowa State is the real deal. It does just about everything right, it’s well coached, and it’s going to be insanely motivated after getting blown away in last year’s bowl loss to Notre Dame. This is the chance to prove that the team was for real and deserved this spot in a New Year’s Six game, and it’ll do that.

Even in a loss.

Oregon hasn’t been perfect. It struggled way too much, but that’s partly because of so many opt-outs, the loss of Justin Herbert, and the bizarre nature of the Pac-12’s abbreviated season. However, it has the high-end talent.

Iowa State has enough stars, veterans, and potential next-level parts, but the Pac-12 Championship showed off an Oregon team that appeared to find that extra gear at the right tine. Best of all for the Ducks, they were able to win even though everything didn’t go quite right.

Iowa State won’t go away, Oregon’s fast-tempo offense will stall a bit too much, and this will be close late. When the Oregon talent has to rise up for a big play and in a big moment, it will.
