The call was hard to believe and Iowa State’s radio announcers made no bones about their disbelief on the penalty flag being thrown for taunting after an apparent Cyclones’ touchdown Saturday against Oklahoma State.
The play took place in the third quarter. Brock Purdy found Xavier Hutchinson on a slant and the wideout broke it to the house.
Hutchinson slowed as he approached the end zone, not doing anything dramatic.
However, an official threw a flag for taunting, paving the way for the Cyclones’ broadcast team to react with disbelief.

Good thing Hutchinson isn’t in the NFL.
The NFL fined #Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb $10,300 for unsportsmanlike conduct – waving goodbye at #Patriots DB Jalen Mills after Lamb's winning TD last week.
