Iowa (12-1, 1-0 Big Ten) welcomes in a Minnesota (11-1, 1-0 Big Ten) team that’s authoring quite the turnaround. As Big Ten play arrives in earnest at the turn of the calendar year, the Golden Gophers have already matched last season’s win total.

Minnesota’s lone loss came at the hands of then-No. 8 Connecticut, 62-44, back on Nov. 19. Since then, the Gophers have rattled off eight straight wins, including a 60-58 win over Purdue in their Big Ten opener.

Meanwhile, Iowa rolls into today’s contest winners of nine in a row. The Hawkeyes routed Loyola Chicago before Christmas, 98-69. Senior guard Caitlin Clark tallied her 13th career triple-double in the win and registered a career-high 17 rebounds.

Clark finished with 35 points on 12-of-21 shooting and she added 10 assists as well.

The West Des Moines product was joined in the double-figure scoring column by sophomore forward Hannah Stuelke’s 20 points, graduate guard Kate Martin’s 19 and junior guard Sydney Affolter’s 10.
