Iowa Hawkeyes football sneaks into preseason AP Top 25 Poll

Iowa sneaks into the AP Top 25 preseason poll.

College football is growing closer with each passing day. Open practices are being scrutinized down to each individual pass, watch lists are coming out left and right, and polls are being released with rankings of the nation’s top 25 teams.

The Iowa Hawkeyes came in at No. 23 in the preseason US LBM Coaches Poll last week and are once again ranked in another nationally recognized poll.

Iowa is ranked No. 25 in the preseason AP Top 25 poll.

The ranking is in line with where Iowa has floated all offseason. They have been a fringe team most of the offseason going in and out of rankings but as the season grows near, they are appearing in more and more polls.

Other Big Ten members ranked in the poll include No. 2 Ohio State, No. 3 Oregon, No. 8 Penn State, No. 9 Michigan, and No. 23 USC.
