Another year, another Iowa Hawkeyes tight end getting ready to prove himself ready for the NFL Draft.
As is tradition for Iowa at this point, the standard of “Tight End U” is continuing with Luke Lachey destined for this year’s NFL draft.
Before the draft, Luke Lachey is going to have the chance to up his draft stock and show teams what he can be. That chance will come at the East-West-Shrine Bowl.

The East-West Shrine Bowl is a chance for Lachey and other NFL draft hopefuls to practice and play in front of NFL scouts and front offices.
The game is set for January 30, 2025, and takes place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, the home of the Dallas Cowboys. The game will air on NFL Network.
Luke Lachey spent five seasons with the Hawkeyes and notched appearances in 42 games.
During his career at Iowa, Lachey reeled in 74 receptions for 893 yards and four touchdowns. His numbers were hurt by shaky quarterback play for most of his tenure and a leg injury in 2023 that limited his season to just three games.
At 6-foot-6 and nearly 250 pounds, Luke Lachey provides the size that NFL teams desire at the tight end position.
