Another week, another game that Iowa Hawkeyes running back Kaleb Johnson dominated another team with his rushing attack behind a dominant performance up front from the offensive line.
Kaleb Johnson led the Hawkeyes with 135 yards on 24 carries to keep his historic season going. He found the endzone three times for his second hat trick in a row and third one on the season.
Not only did Johnson help push Iowa to 6-3 overall and past the bowl-eligibility threshold, he has also been named the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against Wisconsin.

Kaleb Johnson was the catalyst of an Iowa offense that ran all over Wisconsin for 329 yards and five rushing touchdowns in a beatdown that sent a resounding message across the Big Ten.
On the year, Kaleb Johnson has set personal records across the board for himself. He has run for 1,279 yards on 170 carries, an average of 7.5 yards per tote. In the passing game, he has reeled in 19 receptions for 109 yards to do just enough to keep defenses honest.
Johnson has found the endzone 20 total times, 19 rushing and one receiving, to tie Shonn Greene’s single-season touchdown record at Iowa.
With a bowl game now guaranteed, Johnson has four more chances to build upon an already outstanding season. He trails Shonn Greene’s single-season rushing touchdown record by just one and Sedrick Shaw’s career rushing touchdown record by five. Both are well within Johnson’s striking distance.
Johnson is 571 yards off of Shonn Greene’s single-season rushing yards record of 1,850. Sitting at 1,279, Johnson would need to average 142.75 rushing yards per game over the last four to take the top spot. He is currently averaging 142.11 rushing yards per game.
