Despite being 3-2 and having a 1-1 record in Big Ten play just five games into a 12-game regular season, some feel like the roof is collapsing on the Iowa Hawkeyes.
One player is not buying into that panic, though. Iowa defensive lineman and senior Deontae Craig doesn’t believe anything is even close to over and knows that Iowa can still control its destiny to achieve its goals.
When talking to the media today, the product of Culver Academies in Fort Wayne, Indiana gave a mature, calculated response to where things stand right now for the Hawkeyes.
“It’s not like we’re 0-5 right now. We’re still 3-2 and 1-1 in the Big Ten. Like I said, we got seven more Big Ten opponents and everything we want is still out there in front of us, but it’s not going to be easy. We got to go get it, but we got the right guys in the locker room to go do that,” Craig said about what lies ahead for the Iowa Hawkeyes.
