Iowa at Indiana: Three things to know
- In their first meeting of the season, the Hoosiers rallied to stun the then-No. 4 Hawkeyes 81-69 on the road. Sophomore F Trayce Jackson-Davis led the 10-point underdogs with 23 points, while the Hawkeyes received a game-high 28 points and 12 rebounds from C Luka Garza. Indiana trailed 53-44 with 12 minutes to go before producing a 23-3 run and holding Iowa without a field goal for an 11-minute stretch.
- The Hawkeyes have dropped two of three since their setback to the Hoosiers. They sandwiched an 84-78 home win vs. Michigan State with losses at current-No. 13 Illinois (80-75 as 3-point underdogs Jan. 29) and vs. No. 9 Ohio State (89-85 as 5-point home favorites Thursday). Garza averages a nation’s-best 25.9 points per game and a team-high 8.7 rebounds per game.
- Head coach Archie Miller’s group failed to carry any momentum from the Iowa upset, losing its next two games – in Bloomington. IU fell to Rutgers 74-70 as a 5.5-point favorite Jan. 24 and to Illinois 75-71 in overtime as a 3-point dog Tuesday. Jackson-Davis leads the Hoosiers with 20.1 PPG and 9.0 RPG.

Iowa at Indiana: Odds, lines, predictions and picks
Prediction
Iowa 83, Indiana 73
Money line (ML)
PASS. Iowa bounces back from the Ohio State defeat, but the spread is small enough here that we can pinpoint that instead of paying the -180 juice on the ML.

Against the spread (ATS)
IOWA -4.5 (+100) is the STRONGEST PLAY – 1½ times your usual wager. Iowa is too talented to get swept by a mediocre Indiana team. Senior G Jordan Bohannon (10.0 PPG) and sophomore G CJ Fredrick (8.7 PPG) were held scoreless in the January loss to Indiana, though Fredrick sat out the second half with a lower leg injury.
Plus, the Hoosiers won’t shoot like they did in Iowa City last month. They finished 49.1% from the field and 47.1% (8-for-17) behind the 3-point arc in their upset victory. They average 45.6% from the field and 35.3% from 3 for the season.
ATS: Iowa 10-8 | Indiana 10-7
Over/Under (O/U)
Back the OVER 152.5 (-110). Iowa scores 89.1 PPG to rank second in the country (behind only Gonzaga’s 93.3 PPG) and averages a Big Ten-best 83.0 PPG in conference games.
Indiana, which is 5-1 O/U in its last six games, averages 72.8 PPG overall and 72.5 PPG in Big Ten action.
O/U records: Iowa 12-6 | Indiana 9-8
