Tennessee will learn the decision of in-state linebacker Junior Colson by the end of the month, as the 4-star prospect from Brentwood will announce his commitment to the 2021 recruiting class on May 24.
Committing may 24 🙏🏿

Tennessee is in a dogfight to land Colson, attempting to fight off schools such as Michigan, LSU and Ole Miss.
A rising senior at Ravenwood High School, Colson was a key cog in a defensive unit that reached the 6A state championship game in 2019.
The 4-star weighs in a 6-foot-2, 228-pounds and is rated the No. 116 overall player, No. 8 outside linebacker and No. 2 player in Tennessee for 2021 on the 247Sports Composite.
Colson is not a run-and-strike type of linebacker that delivers big hits in the backfield, but an extremely athletic player who can track ball carriers laterally very well, and has no problem dropping in coverage. Whoever lands Colson will get a versatile defender who is a former wide receiver.
Colson would only add to an already-stacked 2021 recruiting class, which currently sits at No. 2 in the country. Wide receivers coach Tee Martin and linebacker coach Brian Niedermeyer are the lead recruiters for Colson.
