Instant reaction to Texas A&M football team win over McNeese on Saturday

The Texas A&M football gets back on track in dominate 52-10 win over McNeese at Kyle Field Saturday afternoon

Fans in Kyle Field had much to cheer for this weekend as they witnessed the Texas A&M football team putting McNeese away early with a lopsided victory.

The Aggies (1-1) got back on track in all aspects of the game, beating the Cowboys (1-2) by a final score of 52-10 on Saturday afternoon in Bryan-College Station. A&M moves to 2-0 in their match series and picks up their first win under new head coach Mike Elko.

As expected, A&M came out and dominated McNeese in all areas on the field. Overall, the offense looked efficient, and Conner Weigman’s accuracy was much better this weekend. There were a few opportunities to go deep that the coaching staff probably would have liked to see him take, but he made up for it with some head-up running.

Conner finished the day by halftime, going 11/14 for 125 yards and 2 touchdowns. Le’Von Moss and Amari Daniels did a lot of the heavy lifting, combining for 159 yards and 4 touchdowns behind a stout offensive line. True freshman Terry Bussy also scored his first collegiate touchdown with a 65-yard scamper.

The Aggies’ next game is against Florida at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainsville, FL, on ABC on Sept. 14 at 2:30 p.m. CT.
