The Baltimore Ravens fell to the Pittsburgh Steelers on “Sunday Night Football” in Week 17 by the final score of 16-13. It was a frustrating and disappointing loss that pushed Baltimore’s record to 10-6, also marking the team’s second loss in their past three games.
On offense the Ravens could get little going, a theme that has been consistent for the most part ever since coming out of their bye week. Quarterback Tyler Huntley threw for 130 yards in the place of injured quarterback Lamar Jackson, while running back J.K. Dobbins rushed for 93 yards on 17 carries. Tight end Mark Andrews had a bounce-back game, catching nine passes for 100 yards.
On defense, Baltimore limited the Steelers to one touchdown that came with 56 seconds to go in the fourth quarter. However, they were gashed on the ground, as Pittsburgh rushed for 198 yards, averaging 3.8 yards per carry on what entering the week was the No. 3 rushing defense in the NFL.
Up next for the Ravens is a pivotal Week 18 matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals. Baltimore will hope that Cincinnati loses to the Buffalo Bills in Week 17 in order to still have a shot at the AFC North crown. If not, the Ravens will be playing for the No. 5 or No. 6 seed.
