Game balls
Offense — RB Josh Jacobs: He rushed for 39 yards on the opening drive, setting the tone. The veteran running back finished with 106 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 26 carries.
Defense — S Xavier McKinney: With the 49ers threatening to start the second half, McKinney delivered two drive-ending plays — a forced incompletion on fourth down and an interception.
Special teams — K Brandon McManus: He hit the Packers’ first 50-yard field goal of the season and finished 6-for-6 overall on kicks.
Key stat
5-for-5: The Packers’ struggling red-zone offense finished all five trips inside the 20-yard line into touchdowns.
Deciding factor
Points off turnovers: The 49ers were gaining confidence early in the second half, but a trio of takeaways-turned-to-touchdowns all but ended the game. Xavier McKinney’s interception set up a short scoring drive, and the Packers scored two touchdowns off takeaways in the fourth quarter. Of Green Bay’s 38 points, 21 came off turnovers.
Jordan Love watch
Love completed 13 of 23 passes for 163 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions while taking two sacks. His box score doesn’t show at least three drops, including one from Christian Watson on what should have been a 49-yard touchdown pass to end the first half. Love also had a couple of turnover-worthy plays but snapped his streak of throwing interceptions to start the 2024 season. He wasn’t sharp from start to finish, but Love’s passer rating finished at 107.7.

Injury updates
Receiver Romeo Doubs was diagnosed with a concussion after hitting his head to end a third quarter play. Running back Josh Jacobs left briefly with cramps but returned in the fourth quarter.
What’s next
A short week, and a visit from the Miami Dolphins on Thursday night. The Dolphins started 2-6 but have won three straight games to get to 5-6, including a dominant win over the New England Patriots on Sunday. Miami has scored 30 or more points in back-to-back games, and a talented passing game is heating up. The Packers will have their work cut out for them on Thanksgiving Night.
NFC North update
The Packers, Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings all won on Sunday. Green Bay is 8-3 but trailing Detroit (10-1) and Minnesota (9-2).
