The Chicago Bears added another weapon on offense with the selection of Baylor running back Trestan Ebner with the 203rd overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft.

Ebner adds versatility to the Bears’ offense out of the backfield, where he’s currently behind David Montgomery, last year’s sixth-round running back Khalil Herbert and newcomer Darrynton Evans.

During his five-year career at Baylor, Ebner totaled 1,690 rushing yards and 1,515 receiving yards, and 20 total touchdowns. He also had four return touchdowns (three kick returns and one punt return).

With 4.4 speed and the ability to catch the ball (he’s a former high school receiver), Ebner will be an exciting addition to the Bears’ offense.

Trestan will provide new offensive coordinator Luke Getsy with another weapon either out of the backfield or in the slot against opposing defenses.
