Instant Analysis: LSU women’s basketball has no issues in drubbing against Texas Southern

The Tigers were without Angel Reese once again, but it didn’t matter in a 106-47 win over Texas Southern.

LSU has now won five games in a row after Monday night’s 106-47 beatdown against Texas Southern at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.

Despite missing star [autotag]Angel Reese[/autotag] once again, the Tigers offense played well, shooting 48% from the field. [autotag]Flau’Jae Johnson[/autotag] and [autotag]Aneesah Morrow[/autotag] led the way for the offense with 17 points each while [autotag]Hailey Van Lith[/autotag] scored 16 and [autotag]Mikaylah Williams[/autotag] scored 14.

Aalyah Del Rosario also added 14 points coming off the bench.

It was an even more dominant defensive performance for the Tigers as Texas Southern turned the ball over 35 times, which resulted in nearly half of LSU’s points going the other way. Coach Kim Mulkey’s team also dominated the boards, outrebounding TSU 49-33.

LSU will now leave the country to take part in the Cayman Islands Classic. It will kick off its run in that tournament against Niagara on Friday afternoon.
