Five-star forward Jarin Stevenson’s recruitment is coming to an end as he cut his list of offers down to a final three. Stevenson announced that he is focusing on North Carolina, Alabama, and Virginia and is hoping to decide by the end of the weekend.
While Stevenson’s recruitment has been relatively quiet as of late, one analyst reported it could be a two-team race between UNC and Alabama.
And now another analyst is hinting at the same thing but with one major implication.
David Sisk of Tar Heel Illustrated tweeted out that the buzz around Stevenson is that if he reclassifies to 2023 it will be Alabama. But if he stays in 2024 it will be either UNC or Virginia.
The popular take on Jarin Stevenson in recruiting circles is his choice will be Alabama if he reclasses to 2023. It will be North Carolina or Virginia if he stays 2024. @HeelIllustrated

That’s a very interesting take as the Tar Heels do have spots open in the 2023 class and would welcome a reclassification. They do have room in 2024 too, especially after Elliot Cadeau reclassified.
UNC was once considered the strong leader but since then both the Crimson Tide and Cavaliers have made strong pushes for him.
