Penn State wasn’t putting a lot of focus on getting the tight ends involved, but the passing game did spread the ball around a little bit. Parker Washington did not play but two likely starters did with Keandre Lambert-Smith tying for the game-high three receptions (for 23 yards) and transfer addition Mithcell Tinsley recording the only touchdown of the game.
Malick Meiga was a player to watch as a potential breakout performer, although he ended the scrimmage with just two catches for seven yards.
Freshman running back Nick Singleton did have one catch and run for 27 yards, making up for his lack of production running the ball.
