Insane LeBron James stat illustrates his longevity

Over the last 21 NBA seasons, LeBron James has been one constant in the league.

LeBron James is 39 years of age and in his 21st NBA season, but he is still one of the best players in the game of basketball.

Coming into Wednesday’s game against the Dallas Mavericks, he was averaging 24.7 points, 7.2 rebounds and 7.5 assists a game while shooting 52.4% from the field and 39.0% from 3-point range. He remains one of the league’s most physically gifted players, as well as the engine of the Los Angeles Lakers.

By now, his longevity has become legendary. In fact, early in Wednesday’s contest versus Dallas, ABC displayed a graphic that illustrated just how insane his longevity has been.

James has played against 35% of all the players who have ever been in the NBA.

He had played against Darvin Ham, his head coach, when Ham was a player, and he is older than three NBA head coaches, including Mark Daigneault of the Thunder, who James’ Lakers defeated on Monday night.
