Injury Report: Warriors’ Draymond Green (finger) will play vs. Hawks on Sunday

After missing one game with a finger sprain, Draymond Green is making his return to the Warriors starting lineup on Sunday against the Hawks.

Following an ugly blowout loss to the Toronto Raptors on Friday, the Golden State Warriors will be getting some much-needed help before capping off a three-game road swing against the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday.

Along with the return of Steph Curry, Draymond Green will rejoin the starting lineup against the Hawks. Without Curry and Green against the Raptors, the Warriors dropped a season-worst 53 point loss.

While sliding on a two-game losing streak, the Warriors will get back Curry and Green with a chance to salvage a victory before returning to San Francisco.

Prior to missing Golden State’s contest against Toronto, Green matched a season-high in scoring with 16 points on 7-of-13 shooting from the field against the Miami Heat. The former Defensive Player of The Year added 10 boards, eight assists and four steals in 36 minutes.

With Green back in the starting lineup, Juan Toscano-Anderson will likely slide back to a role in the second unit. During his start against the Raptors with Green out, the Oakland native went scoreless with an assist and rebound in 11 minutes.

Although Green will be available, the Warriors will still be thin in the frontcourt rotation. Eric Paschall will miss at least the next two weeks with a hip flexor strain. With Paschall sidelined, the Warriors will likely lean on Toscano-Anderson and Kevon Looney in Steve Kerr’s second unit.

The Warriors will meet the Hawks on Easter Sunday at 4:30 p.m. PT.
