After missing the first two games of his rookie campaign due to a thumb injury, Patrick Baldwin Jr. could be inching closer to making his debut with the Golden State Warriors on Sunday against the Sacramento Kings.
According to Anthony Slater of The Athletic, Baldwin Jr. has been upgraded to probable for Sunday’s contest against the Golden State’s Northern California rival with a thumb sprain.

The No. 28 overall pick would join Golden State’s deep bench unit with players like Jordan Poole, Donte DiVencenzo, JaMychal Green, James Wiseman and Jonathan Kuminga.
If Baldwin Jr. is able to play, he will meet fellow first-round pick, Keegan Murray. In his debut against the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday, the Kings rookie tallied 19 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the field with five boards and two assists in 33 minutes off the bench.
The Warriors will host the Kings on Sunday at Chase Center, with tipoff set for 5:30 p.m. PT.
