Injury Report: Otto Porter Jr. (right foot soreness) questionable for Game 6 vs. Grizzlies

After exiting Game 5 early, Warriors veteran forward Otto Porter Jr. is listed as questionable for Game 6 against the Grizzlies on Friday.

Adding to the Golden State Warriors’ problems during their jaw-dropping blowout loss to the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 5 of the playoffs, Otto Porter Jr. exited the contest with right foot soreness.

While the Warriors trailed by as many as 55 points on Wednesday, the veteran wing was ruled out for the remainder of the contest. Heading into Game 6 on Friday, the Warriors could still be missing one of their key glue pieces against the Grizzlies.

On Thursday, the Warriors listed Porter Jr. as questionable for Game 6 with right foot soreness.

Prior to his injury in Game 5, Porter Jr. has come through clutch for the Warriors. The veteran has tallied double-figures in scoring in both Game 3 and Game 4. In both games, Porter Jr. has shot the ball well from beyond the arc, hitting nine triples on 14 attempts from long distance.

Against Memphis, Porter Jr. is averaging 6.2 points on 44% shooting from the floor with 4.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.2 steals in 21.2 minutes per contest.

If Porter Jr. can’t go in Game 6, the Warriors will need to count on players like Jonathan Kuminga, Damion Lee and Juan Toscano-Anderson off the bench.

Game 6 is set to tip-off at 7 p.m. PT on Friday at San Francisco’s Chase Center.
