There was a list of players who were unable to participate in practice for Washington on Thursday, headlined by both QB Alex Smith and RB Antonio Gibson. Both players were in attendance, but neither worked with the team, rather staying off to the side and going through individual drills with trainers to try and progress with their respective injuries.
Another player who was not able to go through team work was safety Deshazor Everett, who was reported to have chest surgery on Thursday morning to fix an injury suffered last week against the San Francisco 49ers. The Athletic‘s Ben Standig reports that Everett will likely go on the injured reserve list after the surgery, and it is unknown whether or not he will return this season.
