Injury report ahead of Week 6 matchup against Alabama

Well, it’s officially Alabama week everyone, and with the now 3-2 Aggies reeling from their embarrassing 42-24 loss to Mississippi State among a packed Davis Wade Stadium, the No.1 ranked Crimson Tide are just the next opponent in line as head coach Jimbo Fisher is searching for answers for Saturday’s primetime showdown.

On Monday, during the team’s annual early week press conference, Fisher and a handful of players answered questions regarding the Mississippi State game while previewing Alabama. Fisher also gave a list of injury-based updates after Saturday’s physically enduring brawl.

First and foremost, an update on starting quarterback Max Johnson, who suffered a left-hand injury in the second half of the game on Saturday, Jimbo stated

“We’ll go day-to-day. He banged his hand. We’ll go day-to-day… We’ll get Haynes (King) and Conner (Weigman) ready to play if Max can’t go.”

Starting cornerback Jaylon Jones also suffered an injury on Saturday, and Jimbo noted that he is doing “fine” and is currently “day to day”.

Lastly, redshirt sophomore Offensive lineman Jordan Spasojevic-Moko, who was injured on Saturday, posted on social media that he had surgery Monday.

Obviously, this is not an all-exclusive injury report, as more information will be released later within the week as the team prepares to take on their biggest challenge yet this season.
