Injuries cancel Dillon Danis, Khonry Gracie’s fights from Bellator 238

Two of the bigger names scheduled for Bellator 238 are now off the card after suffering undisclosed injuries.

Next week’s Bellator 238 will proceed minus two of their more interesting personalities.

Two bouts were scratched from the card Friday due to undisclosed injuries to the fights’ respective A-sides: [autotag]Dillon Danis[/autotag] vs. [autotag]Kegan Gennrich[/autotag], and [autotag]Khonry Gracie[/autotag] vs. [autotag]Hector Saldana[/autotag]. MMA Junkie confirmed an initial report by ZThe Orange County Register through a source with knowledge of the situation.

Danis (2-0 MMA, 2-0 BMMA) the controversial associate of Conor McGregor and jiu-jitsu standout, was scheduled to meet Gennrich (2-1 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) in a 175-catchweight main-card bout.

Gracie (2-1 MMA, 2-1 BMMA), the son of MMA founding father Royce Gracie, was slated to meet Hector Saldana (3-4 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) in a preliminary-card welterweight bout.

The cancelations drop the numbers of fights on the card to 15. No word yet on which preliminary fight might be bumped up to the evening’s main card.

Bellator 238 takes place Jan. 25 at The Forum in Inglewood, Calif. The main card streams on DAZN following prelims on MMA Junkie.
