Initial injury report for Chargers ahead of matchup vs. Vikings

The Los Angeles Chargers had five players who did not practice.

Following their victory over the Eagles, the Chargers returned to work in preparation for the Week 10 matchup with the Vikings.

Here is a look at Wednesday’s injury report:

The Chargers had five non-participants: safety Nasir Adderley, wide receiver Keenan Allen, cornerbacks Michael Davis and Ryan Smith, and running back Justin Jackson.

After seeing Adderley and Allen listed, it is easy to be concerned, but not practicing is likely just extra rest time. Their statuses will still be monitored closely, nonetheless.

Head coach Brandon Staley said that Davis is still a week away from returning. Meanwhile, Samuel, who is still in the concussion protocol, returned to practice today in a non-contact capacity.

Like Davis, Staley does not expect Jackson to be back this weekend, either.

Smith has a torn ACL, so he will come off the injury report once the Chargers officially place him on the injured reserve.

Safety Alohi Gilman, who was limited, returned to practice.
