Texas A&M has made it to Week 9 of the 2022 college football season, which wasn’t pretty. In fact, it was downright ugly. After losing their third consecutive game to the South Carolina Gamecocks 30-24 on Saturday night, the Aggies now sit at 3-4 and 1-3 in SEC play and are on track to have their worst season in almost a decade as it stands.
On Monday, head coach Jimbo Fisher took questions during his annual weekly press conference to discuss the loss, the state of the program, and most importantly, any updates regarding player injuries after Saturday’s game.
Just hours before kickoff against the Gamecocks, it was revealed that center Bryce Foster and left guard Aki Ogunbiyi would miss the matchup, causing concern from the fan base as both have been two of the better-performing interior lineman throughout the season. Well, the news worsened as Fisher announced that both Foster and Ogunbiyi would miss the rest of the regular season, along with guard Jordan Spasojevic-Moko, who was presumed to miss the rest of the season after having surgery less than two weeks ago.
Lastly, Fisher stated that quarterback Haynes King, who injured his shoulder near the end of the fourth quarter against South Carolina “should” be available this weekend as Ole Miss heads to Kyle Field.
