The Florida Gators will face the Oklahoma Sooners in the Cotton Bowl — the first time UF has ever played in this bowl game — in a rematch of the 2009 BCS National Championship Game in with Florida prevailed, 24-14.
This time around, the matchup has much less fanfare, though the 8-2 Sooners come in having won the Big 12 title for the sixth-straight year while the 8-3 Gators stumbled across the finish line with losses to the LSU Tigers and then the Alabama Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship Game. It might not be a game for all the beans, but it is still a New Year’s Six match that carries some luster nonetheless.
BetMGM oddsmakers have the Gators a 3-point favorite while the over/under is set at 71.5 as their starting line.
The game will kick off at 8 p.m. EST on Dec. 30 in AT&T Stadium, Arlington, Texas. The game will be broadcast on ESPN, can be livestreamed on the ESPN app and can be heard on the Gators Radio Network.
