Penske Entertainment has chosen The CW for the return of its 100 Days To Indy docuseries, which will debut on an unspecified date in April after the new season launches on March 10 in Florida at St. Petersburg.

The six-part series, which aired on The CW in 2023, chronicles the early stages of the championship as it builds towards the series’ crown jewel, the Indianapolis 500, which is held on May 26. The final installment of 100 Days aired two weeks after the most recent edition won by Josef Newgarden.

“We are thrilled to bring another season of 100 Days To Indy to The CW and continue to grow our portfolio of quality sports programming,” said The CW’s Heather Olander, Head of Unscripted Programming.

“Last season gave fans unprecedented access behind the scenes of IndyCar racing leading up to the biggest race of the year, the Indy 500. We featured Josef Newgarden’s journey to the Brickyard in Indianapolis to become last year’s Indy 500 winner. We look forward to another season riding along with the incredible drivers and capturing all the action leading up to this year’s race.”

The series will continue to be produced by Penske Entertainment, owners of the IndyCar Series and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and Patrick Dimon and Adam Marinelli, which fits into an ever-growing segment of racing docuseries. Season 1 of 100 Day included production assistance from and distribution on VICE Channel, but RACER understands VICE is not involved in Season 2. Further information on the distribution of 100 Days outside of The CW is expected in the coming days.

Netflix’s Drive To Survive, which returns for its sixth season, stands as the global standard with its focus on Formula 1 and the streaming leader has recently added NASCAR to its offerings with the new Full Speed series. On the sports car front, IMSA’s Win The Weekend debuted in 2023 on YouTube with its emphasis placed on the new hybrid GTP cars and for 2024, it’s believed the series’ growth among GT manufacturers will move into the spotlight.

IMSA’s European partners at the FIA World Endurance Championship were represented on YouTube as well with its Full Access series in 2023 and a move to a large streamer has been rumored for its upcoming season.
