Indianapolis Colts vs Vikings: Minnesota with 2 players out, 2 questionable

On the Vikings final injury report ahead of their matchup vs the Indianapolis Colts, they listed two players as out and two questionable.

For Sunday night’s game against the Minnesota Vikings, the Indianapolis Colts have listed one player as out and another questionable. For more on that, click here.

But what about Minnesota’s injury report? Following the team’s final practice on Friday, the Vikings ruled two players out and two others as questionable.

I’m sure you’ll notice, that tight end TJ Hockenson is not listed on the injury report. He will make his 2024 season debut against the Colts.

Here is what you need to know:

Out – LB Blake Cashman (toe): Cashman would miss Minnesota’s game last week as well against the Rams. On the season, he’s recorded six pressures as a blitzer, held opponents to just over 10 yards per catch in coverage with three pass breakups, and overall is a very sound tackler as one of the Vikings’ highest-graded run defenders.

Questionable – CB Akayleb Evans (hip): Evans played 855 snaps for the Vikings in 2023, but has only played three defensive snaps this year, all of which came in Week 1. Otherwise, he’s been a primary special teams contributor, playing 62 snaps in five games. He also did not play against the Rams.

Out – IDL Taki Taimani (ankle): Taimani has played 70 defensive snaps this season, averaging 10 per game. At 6-3 – 330 pounds, he is a space eater in the middle of the Minnesota front and utilized on more obvious running downs.

Questionable – Dalton Risner (back): Risner was placed on injured reserve before the season began with a back injury. The team has opened the 21 day window for him to return. If he’s going to play, the team will have to activate him on Saturday and add him back to the 53-man roster. Risner started at left guard for the Vikings last season.
