Will the Indianapolis Colts be on the field today in Week 9 of the NFL schedule?
Following a loss on the road to the Houston Texans in Week 8, the Colts are back on the field Sunday night for their first primetime game of the season, as they travel to Minnesota to face the 5-2 Vikings.
Over the last week, the Colts made a massive change at the quarterback position, benching Anthony Richardson in favor of Joe Flacco, who the team believes gives them the best chance to win now. At 4-4, the Colts are just on the outside of the current AFC playoff picture.
Their opponent are the blitz-heavy Vikings, who lead the NFL in both blitz rate as well as pressure rate. And not only does Minnesota blitz often, but they disguise where it’s coming from very well, adding to the confusion.
In addition to the offensive line giving Flacco time by handling those pressures, getting Jonathan Taylor going in this game will also be a must.
Although the Vikings have lost their last two games, this is still a team that ranks top 10 in scoring on both sides of the ball, led on offense by an explosive passing game.
